Energy is part of almost everything we do — from heating our homes and powering our businesses to travelling, producing goods and running our communities. The way we generate and use energy has a significant impact on our climate and the natural world.

Most of the energy we use still comes from fossil fuels, which produce greenhouse gas emissions that contribute to climate change. Moving towards cleaner, renewable sources of energy, while using energy more efficiently, can help reduce these impacts and create a more sustainable future.

There are many ways we can all play a part, whether that’s improving energy efficiency at home, considering renewable energy, reducing energy use or supporting wider efforts to develop a cleaner energy system.

Below, you’ll find useful organisations, advice and sources of support to help you understand the issues around energy, nature and climate change, and explore practical ways to take action.
